English Translation
Footsteps echoing, the group brace themselves
Off they go into the demon's den to cut off its head
As they leave behind their olden days to the twilight skies
Images of precious ones appear scattered before their eyes
Fly the flame high! It calls forth a battle cry
Tonight we have no need for a way back home
If only flowers bloom on our rotten bones
That will be enough for us
Savage claws and tusks fell corpses in heaps
The dreams of bygone days are rent asunder
The blood-sodden lips of a comrade sing:
"Farewell my beloved child, live a healthy life"
That song as my blade, I drive onward my petrified legs
There is no need to pass down our names
If only flowers bloom on our rotten bones
That will be enough for us
Someday time will have swept away everything
And little children will once again run on this sunny hill
We cuddle close together, and though life may leave us
If you will smile at the flowers that bloom on our bones
That will be enough for us
