English Translation
Blurry in the horizon of the vernal sky Flashes a petal of inmost intention In a vortex of decadence whence tomorrow is invisible Hollow clouds scatter and fall Taking root in deep darkness In the darksome shade of cherry blossom petals Faced with a secret spider's thread The power to live like ashitaba (1) The spider of the wretched world falls to earth And eventually devises a web Now, under the cherry tree blooming out of season An ephemeral silk thread By the depths of dream lingers The nearly forgotten truth of that day "Binding me is the spell that is the immanent institution. I now set myself free in order to acquire the place where I belong." "So you were the spider." Blurry in the horizon of the vernal sky Now, under the cherry tree blooming out of season An ephemeral silk thread By the depths of dream lingers that day Alhough I encounter it, I am still alone However now, under the cherry tree blooming out of season An ephemeral silk thread By the depths of dream lingers The predetermined truth of that day "By the threads that I spread, I fulfilled my wish and lost everything. However, I will keep on living strong. I will once more find a place where I belong. As a descendant of Iwanagahime, though it may be sad and painful, I must keep on smiling. For that is the way of a Jorōgumo."
